Mal Cullen is Chief Executive Officer of CIBC Mellon, a Canadian leader in asset servicing. He is responsible for the overall strategy and performance of CIBC Mellon.

Prior to leading CIBC Mellon, Mal Cullen was Head of Digital Services at BNY Mellon, overseeing the deployment of all BNY Mellon Asset Servicing digital and data capabilities, including Data and Analytics Solutions products, NEXEN digital capabilities, strategic data advisory services, and the implementation team that oversees the client experience for Asset Servicing and Digital product and service onboarding.

During his tenure at BNY Mellon, Mr. Cullen held a number of leadership and executive positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Investment Systems LLC. Mr. Cullen served as a member of the Boards of Directors for CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company and CIBC Mellon Trust Company from August 2020 through November 2022.

Mr. Cullen has more than 30 years of experience in the development, sales, implementation and support of asset servicing and technology solutions for the financial services industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics and Management Studies from the University of Waterloo.
