Important Notice

Tax Updates Effective January 2012


Canada’s federal government and the following provinces/territories have announced tax changes for January 2012.


Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Yukon.


CIBC Mellon will implement these changes effective January 20, 2012; as a result, you may notice a slight change to the net amount of your monthly pension payments after mid January 2012.


If you have any questions regarding the new tax rates, you can call Canada Revenue Agency toll free at their general inquiry number 1-800-959-8281 or visit their website at www.cra-arc.gc.ca.


Please note the 2011 tax slips will be mailed by mid February.
