Employee Plans Services Overview
Employee share plans (ESP) are part of an attractive employee benefits package that offers your staff a personal stake in the success of their company. We support a variety of plan types including share purchase plans, employee profit sharing plans, employee benefit plans, group registered retirement savings plans and stock option plans.
CIBC Mellon offers a combination of administration, custody, trustee and call center services for employee plan services, which allows for effective and efficient end-to-end servicing.
CIBC Mellon is a federally regulated trust company that can act as trustee for your plan. Through our sister company, CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company we maintain custodial records for assets held, which enables us to electronically deliver shares for trade settlement and participant share deposits.
Employee plan support - ESPrit
Our internet enabled technology, ESPrit, enables your employees to quickly and easily provide transaction instructions or request password resets, forms and information, online statements and inquiries for account demographics or history.
Our ESP services also include direct system interfaces with other CIBC Mellon systems for tax slips, share certificates and cheques, as well as electronic delivery of cash and shares to financial intermediaries.
From the ESPrit homepage, participants and sponsors need to:
- Select their preferred language.
- Input their company number, participant ID and password (online password reset is available from the sign-on page).
- Agree to ESPrit terms and conditions of use.
