e-Voting

CIBC Mellon was among the first transfer agents in Canada to offer electronic proxy voting.  Through this service, you can reduce many of the costs associated with the collection of investor proxies, even while potentially improving investor response rates.

CIBC Mellon offers two electronic options for collecting shareholder proxy responses:  telephone voting and Internet voting.  These services can be combined, or offered on a standalone basis.  All services are available in both English and French.

Whichever option you choose, investor security is guaranteed through use of a unique control number.

Telephone Voting

Investors in North America can vote their proxy by dialling a toll-free telephone number and inputting the unique control number provided with their proxy material. Telephone voting services are provided in either English or French; the user will be prompted with detailed instructions.

Telephone services are designed to be a fast, efficient and secure option for shareholder voting.

Internet Voting

Investors can also vote online from anywhere in the

world. It is as simple as logging on to a dedicated web page — available in English or French — and entering their unique control number. The investor uses the subsequent web pages to select their voting instructions and electronically deliver their information.

All web pages can be extensively customized to include your branding elements, and communicate your company’s message.

CIBC Mellon can also distribute proxies electronically through our eDistribution service.
